At Work in the Network
The purpose of the Corporate Work Study Program at Don Bosco Cristo Rey is to provide students with real-world job experience while allowing them to earn a portion of the cost of their education. This experience empowers and enables college-bound under-resourced students to succeed in the professional workplace. It is an integral part of their educational experience at Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School.
Having served as DBCR’s Assistant Principal for six years previously to being the Executive Director, Ms. Ana Chapa brings a wealth of experience working with adolescents and other Cristo Rey schools. As a licensed Social worker, she knows a great deal about adolescent development, the work the student workers are capable of producing, and the age-appropriate supports that must be put in place in order for young professionals to succeed.
“Emily Rodriquez was one of our first Don Bosco students. She was so fabulous that we’ve hired her during the summer while she was in high school. After graduating, I kept in touch with her while she was in college. I am proud to say that the firm hired Emily in February as my Records and Information Governance Analyst. I interviewed four other candidates and hands down Emily was the best selection. Thank you!”
