Transportation Assistance

Our Community

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School & Corporate Work Study Program is a Catholic college-preparatory, career-preparatory school for young men and women from under-resourced communities in the Washington, DC region. Every student participates in our innovative Corporate Work Study Program, working one full day a week in a corporate office environment to gain professional experience and career exposure while earning revenue towards their tuition expenses.

Transportation Assistance Need

Our students show up every day ready to succeed, both in the classroom and at their Corporate Work Study placements. A crucial factor in their ability to fully engage in these opportunities is access to reliable transportation. Many of our students and their families face financial challenges that make daily transportation to school difficult.

We are seeking the support of our broader community to help provide transportation assistance for our students. Your generosity will help eliminate transportation barriers and ensure our students can focus on what matters most, like growing academically and professionally. Research indicates that when transportation barriers are removed, student success rates improve significantly. Every contribution brings us one step closer to making sure every student has the support they need to succeed.

Thank you for your generous consideration and support!

“The help I got with transportation and shoes was really important. It made it easier for me to come to school without worrying about how I would get here or having the right things to wear. This has helped me a lot because I can focus on my studies without those extra worries. More support would mean more students could get the help they need, which would help everyone feel better and do better in school. Thanks again for everything you’ve done for me.”

"The transportation assistance they have been able to provide has helped a lot, so my mom can use that money to help buy groceries for me and my siblings.”
